Took a spin southward down the Badger State Trail on Sunday. I rode the Albatross and ML rode Ruby, his 9:zero:7 fat-bike that he’s getting ready for the Triple D.
It was a beautiful Fall day. We rode south to and through the Stewart Tunnel, and took a break at the shelter. As the shadows lengthened, we caught a tailwind and picked up the pace so that ML could get back into town and act as a model at the Madison Bike Winter fashion show. If he gets aero, the fat-bike will get above 12mph.
But we still weren’t fast enough to outrun our shadows.
Stats: 55 miles, 3 hours 33 minutes. More than enough food, not quite enough water.
