Repeal Day

Yesterday (December 5) marked the ratification of the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution, which repealed the 18th Amendment. In other words, prohibition was repealed. So we went for a ride.

At the behest of our resident visitor from Utah (the state that hit the 3/4 majority required for ratification), we engaged in a repeal-oriented ride that included a ceremonial N/A beer (ick), stops at a few prohibition-related Madison landmarks, hanging out in liquor store parking lots, a tour of the holiday light show in Olin Park, and frequent stops for nips of bourbon, rye, and other strong drink in the course of a crisp ~30 mile ride. Tacos and beer afterwards at our usual joint.

And somehow I got home with some bourbon left in my flask. Not quite sure how that happened.
