Spring Leaves and Lonely Buoys

Last night’s ride the long way home (LWH) sent me westward on a coffee-outside reconnaissance mission. If it’s not already obvious, I like to drink my coffee near the water.

The ride wasn’t as long as I would have liked, but the fall scenery more than made up for it–and recon was a definite success.

  1. SW says:

Mostly I use either an old Gaz Tristar (at least until my stash of fuel runs out) with a GSI kettle, though sometimes I use a Backcountry Boiler (from boilerwerks). And I just took delivery of a Solo Stove, which uses either wood or the Trangia burner. So, really…more options than I really need.

But then sometimes I just get lazy and make the coffee at home in the Chemex and take it in a thermos.
